Davelo Bike Rentals – Terms & Conditions

Please note: Rental charges are calculated on a per-calendar-day basis. There are no exceptions. If you take a bike and return it on a later calendar day, full rental charges apply for each calendar day the bike is in your possession, regardless of the pick-up or return time.

How It Works

You can rent one of our available rental bikes starting at $95/day + tax. Available models and pricing may vary by bike type and availability.

A “rental day” means same-day use, from store opening to store closing. Overnight rentals are not included in a single-day rental.

If you pick up the bike on one day and return it the next day, this is considered a two-day rental, regardless of the pick-up time.

You must be at least 18 years old to rent a bike.

Your rental includes a helmet, bell, two bottle cages, lights, a saddle bag with one spare tube, two tire levers, one CO₂ cartridge and inflator, and a lock.

Rental bikes are equipped with flat pedals. Look, Shimano, or SPD pedals are available for $5.00/day.

You are required to sign a waiver before taking possession of the rental bike.

Cycling involves inherent risks. By renting a bike, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Rental bikes are not insured. You are fully responsible for the bike and included accessories while they are in your care, including responsibility for theft, loss, damage, or missing items.

A lock is included as a deterrent only. It does not guarantee protection against theft. For your protection, you should not leave the bike unattended.

A $500 security deposit is required by cash, debit, or credit card before the bike is released. This deposit will be returned when the bike is returned on time, in good condition, and with all included accessories. Davelo may deduct amounts from the security deposit for damage, loss, theft, missing accessories, unpaid rental charges, or other amounts owing under the rental.

Reservation Deposit and Cancellation Policy

A 10% reservation deposit is required to hold your reservation. This deposit is applied toward the total rental cost.

The reservation deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at least 7 calendar days before your scheduled reservation date.

Cancellations made less than 7 calendar days before the scheduled reservation date may result in the reservation deposit being retained, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

If Davelo must cancel a reservation due to circumstances outside the customer’s control, including bike availability, safety concerns, or mechanical issues, the reservation deposit will be refunded.
